Oran McAtamney wins Lifetime Achievement at Mid Ulster Business Awards

Oran McAtamney was the winner of this year's Lifetime Achievement award (sponsor Henry Brothers) at tonight's Mid Ulster Business Excellence Awards taking place in Corick House Hotel & Spa, Clogher.

The prestigious award, sponsored by principal partner Henry Brothers, was presented to Mr McAtamney by the firm's HR Director, Julie McKeown.

Guests heard that Oran started work in his trade at just 11 years old alongside his father and grandfather. He continued to craft his skills for years before taking over the family business.

It wasn’t long before this business leader realised that he would have to expand and ultimately went on to launching another 12 outlets across Northern Ireland.

When Covid hit, Mr McAtamney quickly adapted and launched an online ordering app, which he has kept to this day as a convenient shopping tool for customers.

McAtamney's Butchers employs over 190 staff many of which have been with the business for over 25 years.

Two of those staff are his sons, who have joined the business and look set to continue this success.
