UPPER Bann MP David Simpson has praised the ongoing commitment to excellence of local award winning firm ‘SlurryKat.’

Speaking after touring the company David Simpson said:

“Slurrykat is one of our most innovative local companies, winning numerous awards and setting a standard that others try to follow.

“Established in 1994 with just two members of staff, ‘SlurryKat’ has benefited from the commitment and expertise of Managing Director and Principal Engineer Garth Cairns, as well as the skill and dedication of the growing work force. It has picked up numerous awards including ‘Best new Business’, ‘Spirit of Enterprise’ and in 2011 won the ‘Company Of The Year’ award from the Association Of Charted Accountants Ireland.

“It is now trading in some 18 countries supplying their bespoke products across the world. It is widely recognised as a serious world-class company in its sector and has earned a well deserved reputation for cutting edge product development.

“This was a very welcome opportunity to get a first-hand view of the entire production process from start to finish.”
