Semi goes on the market at £15,000

It is 704 Pinebank in Tullygally which went on the market last week. It has already received a number of offers despite being in a very poor state of repair.

The house next door, number 705, a four bedroom detached house, is also on sale for £18,500.

It may need a mountain of work and you can’t get full access to the property to view it as it is securely boarded up, however the estate agents have already received an offer for the asking price.

It is described in the estate agent’s blurb as a semi-detached house. The ex-NIHE property is said to be situated in a ‘convenient residential area within walking distance of all local amenities and schools alike’.

“The property comprises, entrance hall, lounge, kitchen/dining, bathroom and 3 bedrooms with front and rear gardens. The property requires some due modernisation offering an ideal opportunity for an investor or first time buyer,” according to the Newry-based estate agents Digney Boyd.

The rates are £534 per annum and the agents believe this house is ‘ideally family accommodation’.

According to the PropertyPal.com website the average price for a three-bedroom semi-detached house in Craigavon is £91,279 while the NI average is £118,264.

The same estate agency is dealing with both properties.

Number 705 is described as: “This large 4 bedroom detached property is situated in the ever popular Pinebank estate in Craigavon. The property comprises, entrance hall, kitchen/dining, lounge, bathroom and four bedrooms with front and rear gardens. The property is within close range of all local amenities. The home needs general modernisation as it is in a current state of disrepair.”

The rates on this property are £686 per annum.

A spokeswoman at Digney Boyd said Number 704 had been lived in. It had been a NIHE property but is now being sold by a private vendor.

She explained that there is no kitchen nor sanitary ware in either houses. Most of the windows are boarded up so this would make viewing inside virtually impossible.

She explained that there had already been an offer of the asking price for 704 and another bid of £30,000 for both properties. She said a number of builders had expressed interest in the properties since they went on the market last week.
