Up to 80 jobs may go at Craigavon B&Q

Craigavon B&Q is set to close, it has been revealed.

It is one of five stores across the north to shut with the possible loss of up to 300 jobs.

Around 80 jobs are on the line at the Craigavon store.

It had previously been announced that the Derry and Belfast Boucher Road branches were to close.

A spokesperson for the company told the MAIL: “We have now spoken to the staff in the affected stores and can confirm the stores that will be closing are: Sprucefield, Ballymena, Craigavon, Londonderry’s Buncrana Road and Belfast’s Boucher Road.

“Around 300 jobs will be affected.”

Kingfisher, the company which owns B&Q, is undergoing a major restructuring.
