Emma's partner and co-founder of Dromara-based tech company Genysys Engine Ltd, Matthew Eaton, also attended the ceremony at Belfast's Europa Hotel, and he was understandably thrilled that their winning concept had suitably impressed the judges.

The young woman commented afterwards: “What an amazing night at the Women in Tech Awards.

“Thank you to Women in Business NI, BT and the wonderful judges for selecting Genysys Engine Ltd and myself, as 'one to watch in the future'.

“I am delighted to have received this award on behalf of Genysys Engine.

“Words cannot describe how happy I am. Many people don't see the work that goes into the business behind the scenes. it has been 16 to 20 hour a day for the last four years, and it is truly amazing to be recognised for the great technology we have built and will continue to build.

“It was a great night and I got to spend time away from the PC with my rock and partner, Matthew Eaton.”

For ease of use and for that all-important 'fun factor', clients are walked every step of the way through web design by 'Wally', the friendly website assistant.

Research and development began in August 2019, with the company's first product launched in April 2022.

Genysys Engine Ltd is currently trading in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

A sure sign that the company is working on a winning concept is the fact that it is now expanding and recruiting – and also seeking new funding!

Among other happy local clients whose web presence is now in the capable hands of the Genysys team is well-known Dromore charity, 'Via Wings'.

A quick look at their website will illustrate the kind of slick design Genysys is offering.

Equally impressive is the website created for Dromara florist, 'Inspired by Flowers'.
