Yelo Ltd explores market opportunities in Canada

A Carrickfergus company has taken part in a Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment trade mission to Canada.

Yelo Ltd was one of nine local firms exploring the market and meeting with potential trading partners,

The Belfast Road-based company serves the photonics and electronics industry and is a world leader in laser diode and photodiode characterisation, life-test and burn-in systems.

Enterprise Minister Jonathan Bell, who led the trade mission, said: “Canada is an important market to the Northern Ireland economy. Exports over the past 12 months have been in excess of £360million and this continues to grow year on year.

“Trade missions form an important part of exploring new markets giving companies the opportunity to meet with potential buyers and distributors.”
