YFCU members visit Ifor Williams Trailers

TWELVE members from the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) recently travelled to Wales to visit Ifor Williams Trailers.

The visit was hosted by AJC Lamont, Coleraine who is a distributor of Ifor Williams Trailers in Northern Ireland. YFCU members stayed in Chester for two nights and toured three of the Ifor Williams Trailers state of the art factories.

Martyn Blair, YFCU deputy president said: “Our trip to the Ifor Williams factory was a fantastic few days and those in attendance are indebted to Andy Lamont for his invitation and organisation of the trip. The trip was highly informative and interesting. All the members of YFCU thoroughly enjoyed the visits to the three separate factories and were highly impressed by the magnitude and precision of the production involved in each trailer that often, we as farmers, take for granted. Again we extend a warm word of thanks to Ifor Williams group for their welcome and hospitality and again to Andy Lamont for his facilitation of the trip”.

Andy Lamont commented: “It was a great pleasure for us to be involved with the YFCU and be able to take them to the Ifor Williams Factories. All the people who went on the trip showed a great knowledge of our product and were fantastic ambassadors of YFCU.

“Ifor Williams is committed to providing the best product possible to all the farming community and being able to see behind the scenes made us all realise what a huge amount of work that goes into each and every trailer.”
