“There will be an opening address given by Martina Anderson MEP and the discussion will be facilitated by Senior Officials from DARD.

“Under the Common Agriculture Policy the Single Farm Payments are to be replaced by a new Basic Payment Scheme so it is important that farmers hear from DARD officials on how this will impact upon them.

“Other topics will include Coupled Support, LFACA, Areas of Natural Constraint, Capping and the Small Farmers Scheme but the floor will be open for any concerns farmers may have.

“This is an excellent opportunity for farmers to have their concerns addressed and queries answered so I would encourage all farmers to come along next Thursday night.”
