Tributes paid to 30-year-old killed in farm accident

The Co Armagh man killed in a farm accident yesterday has been named locally as 30-year-old Shane Lappin.

He was the son of Francie and Anna Lappin and husband to wife Sarah.

The fatal accident occurred in the Madden Road area of Keady on Saturday.

Speaking to Armaghi, Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Boylan extended his condolences to the family and friends of Mr Lappin.

The Newry and Armagh MLA said: “This evening the community are shocked by the death of Shane in a tragic accident.

“He was a hardworking young gentleman and came from a well known and respected family.

“We send our condolences to his wife Sarah, parents Francie and Anna and the entire family circle.”
