Accreditation for pre-school

Hansel and Gretel Pre-school in Glynn has been presented with the Early Years Accreditation Award by Education Minister, who acknowledged the group’s success.

The accreditation was presented as part a two-day international conference hosted by Early Years – the organisation for young children, earlier this month.

The award recognises the achievement of nurseries, playgroups and day cares, delivering the highest standards for children in early years care and education according to international research and best practice.

Siobhan Fitzpatrick, Early Years chief executive said: “We congratulate Hansel and Gretel Pre-school, and all the groups who are recipients of this years awards. For parents seeking good quality day care, it is a mark of the highest standards.

“The award sets a standard in quality, and recognises early years experiences as vital to the health and development of young children. We know that for groups receiving this award it is not the final step in the process, and that they will continue to work hard to maintain and surpass the high standards they have achieved.”

“Displaying the awards as a quality mark will further assure parents that their children are being cared for in a high quality environment and acknowledges the hard work and investment that the staff have put into delivering quality services for children,” she said.
