Ballycastle High Parents’ make bags of money thanks to Eurospar

BALLYCASTLE High School Parents’ Association spent Saturday 17th November busily packing bags in Eurospar Ballycastle.

Their efforts were well rewarded as they raised a grand total of just over £500 which will be used to support a range of departments and extra-curricular activities within the school over the coming year.

The Parents’ Association have recently funded a free book for each Year Eight pupil as part of a wider programme designed to promote literacy within the school. The Technology Department have also received funds to assist in the purchase of new robotic engineering, tools which will allow pupils to learn about the most up to date methods and technology. It is intended that the money raised on Saturday will be used to support a number of activities and projects within the school, including a strip for the Y8 football team.
