Ballymena IT boost

Funding for 120 training opportunities in software development will benefit Ballymena.

The programme comprises of 17 weeks of classroom based learning delivered by all six Northern Ireland regional colleges including Northern Regional College’s Ballymena campus.

The Professional Software Development courses which will commence in September 2014 aims to provide HND, degree or equivalent graduates in non IT disciplines with the skills and experience required to take up new opportunities in the IT industry. For the duration of the Course participants will be paid a weekly training allowance of £150 based on attendance.

Applications must be submitted online to http://spc.mindmill.co.uk before 4pm on Wednesday 16 July 2014. The selection process will include an online aptitude test which must be completed by 4pm on Monday 21 July 2014. Information sessions are scheduled for early August 2014 and supervised aptitude tests will take place after mid August 2014. The training course for successful applicants will start September 2014.
