Best ever results for Dalriada

Dalriada’s Year 12 pupils are celebrating the best overall set of GCSE results in the history of the school. For the first time ever, every Year 12 pupil achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including Maths and English. Almost 56% of the grades achieved by Dalriada pupils were A*/A grades, an exceptional figure.

An outstanding 37 pupils, almost 30% of the year group obtained 8 or more A* or A grades and of this group 25 pupils gained 9 A* or A grades each. Jordan Bamford, Annie Cassells, Fraser McIlvenna, Susanna Peden and Grace Torrens obtained an exceptional 9 A* grades across all their subjects.

In addition the following pupils obtained 8 or more A* or A grades:

Darren Balmer, Sara Beattie, Sarah Boyles, Helen Creaney, Adam Hamilton, Shane Harper, Emma Jones, Simon King, James Lavery, Adam Meikle, Mark Scott, Joshua Wiseman.

Headmaster, Mr. Tom Skelton expressed his delight with this excellent set of results. He congratulated all the pupils involved in these exams for their hard work and also acknowledged the outstanding teaching from staff and the strong support from parents. These results again reinforce Dalriada’s position as one of the top grammar schools in the Province.
