Education minister visits nursery facilities in Ballyclare

Nursery provision in Ballyclare was discussed during a visit by Peter Weir MLA to facilities this morning (Friday, July 3).

Detailing the visit, a Department of Education spokesperson said: “Education Minister Peter Weir visited Ballyclare Nursery School where he met with Principal Emma Corry, Governors, local representatives and others, to discuss infrastructure issues.”

Commenting on today’s event, South Antrim MP Paul Girvan said: “I was very happy to welcome the Education Minister to South Antrim this morning.

“I invited The Minister to visit Ballyclare Nursery School and the nearby Tir-na-Nog site to discuss the provision for nursery school care in the town.

“A big thank you to Mrs Corry and the Board of Governors at Ballyclare Nursery School who have been sharing their ambition for the future of childcare in the area.”
