‘Everyone’s success celebrated at Abbey’

Pupils, staff and parents were praised after Abbey Community College celebrated A level results day on August 13.

The Principal of the Monkstown-based school, Mrs Quinn, wished students well as they now embark on new opportunities.

Mrs Quinn said: “Once again this year Abbey Community College students have celebrated academic excellence on A’ Level Results Day 2020, with some outstanding individual performances. The smiling, happy faces of students, staff and parents reflected success across a wide variety of academic and vocational courses.

“The Abbey family is hugely proud of all our Year 14 students and their achievements which is testament to high quality teaching, their hard work and commitment and the support and encouragement of staff and parents. They thoroughly deserve their success and have certainly made our school motto ‘Believe, Achieve, Succeed’ a reality!”

She added: “We are thrilled that once again, that the number of students achieving three plus A*-C grades has increased this year, out- performing the Northern Ireland average for similar schools

“We are proud of the many other students who achieved their personal best, many exceeding their expectations and opening doors to new opportunities. Abbey Community College celebrates everyone’s achievement; staff and students have worked hard together, been supported by parents and we all enjoy the rewards of success.”
