Following on from last week’s ‘A’ Level Results Day, staff and pupils at Larne Grammar School have been celebrating the achievements of this year’s GCSE cohort.

GCSE Results Day was particularly successful for Clara Devlin, Ben Dundee and Grace Logan who gained a full set of 10 A* grades.

Taylor Beggs and Hannah McCloskey both achieved eight A*s and one A.

A further five pupils, Scott Alexander, Ciara Gilmartin, Caoimhe Lagan, Erin Nicholson and Megan Ritchie, gained a full set of A*s and As. In total, 31 pupils obtained at least eight A grades.

Commenting on these results, Mr Jonathan Wylie, Principal of Larne Grammar school said, “Despite the cancellation of the GCSE examinations, I am delighted that our pupils have received grades that reflect their talent and ability and the hard work they have put in throughout their two-year course of study.

“I look forward to welcoming the vast majority of our Year 12 pupils back into Year 13 to begin their ‘A’ Level studies.”
