Glowing report for Creavery

A recent ETI Inspection of Creavery Primary School, between Kells and Antrim, which is one of the oldest established schools in the NEELB, found that the quality of arrangements for Pastoral Care was outstanding.

The report found that children were confident and well-motivated.

It stated: “From an early age, they show independence in managing and taking responsibility for their own learning.”

The Inspection also focused on the children’s achievements and standards in Literacy and Numeracy.

“The quality of the teaching ranged from very good to outstanding. Literacy and Numeracy was well planned and integrated across the curriculum.”

Special commendation went to the School Governors, Parent Volunteers and PTA, who work tirelessly for the benefit of the whole school.

The PTA has recently been awarded Northern Ireland Winner of “Changing the Life of the School,” and received their Award at a recent ceremony in Stormont Buildings from the Education Minister, John O’Dowd. They also came 4th in the UK competition at an Awards Ceremony in London.

Creavery Primary School, situated just off the A26 between Antrim and Ballymena, offers a Breakfast Club each weekday morning from 815am, and After Schools Clubs from Monday to Thursday from 2-4pm.
