Speaking to the Times, he said: “Glengormley High School has been working with C and S School in Japan.
“This link was facilitated and organised by the voluntary sector organisation Beyond Skin and Min-On Music Research Institute in Japan. Beyond Skin was founded by Darren Ferguson, who is a past pupil of Glengormley High.

“The song ‘Far Away’ will be premiered online via YouTube on December 11 as part of the Min-On Japan Share Music Day.
“We have also had one of our pupils, Sienna Wilgaus, from Glengormley High celebrated for her artistic flair. Some of her artwork has been put on display in Japan.
