Lisneal College hosts annual Summer Concert

On the programme for the evening were performances from the School Choir, the String Orchestra, Rock Band, Woodwind Group and the Ulster Scots Group.

With 30 soloists from years 8 to14 the audience were entertained by a wide range of musical talent on instruments ranging from piano, voice and accordion, to string, woodwind and brass instruments.

The evening was brought to a rousing close by the newly formed Jazz Band who performed numbers by Brooker T & the MG’s, Herbie Hancock and Amy Winehouse, among others.

The evening was enjoyed by all, and the music department would like to extend their thanks to all the musicians who performed and to all those who came in support of the concert.
