

Mr Allen, who is a past pupil of Coleraine Academical Institution, is a graduate of The Queen’s University, Belfast where he gained both a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Economics and Management and his Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
He returned to “The Inst” in September 1991 as a teacher of Economics and History and has held a number of positions in the school including Head of Economics, Head of Careers, Senior Teacher and Pastoral Vice Principal.

Mr Allen said: “With almost 400 years of history and tradition, Foyle College represents both a type of school and an education system in which I believe fundamentally. It is a privilege and an honour to have been appointed as Principal of this fine establishment.”
