New uniform for Ballysally pupils

IT’S all change for the pupils of Ballysally Primary School!

For the youngsters began the school term with a striking new red, white and grey uniform.

Principal, Geoff Dunn, told the Times: “Some 18 months ago the school carried out a thorough evaluation by parents, pupils and staff of the provision here in Ballysally.

“Many positive aspects were fed back to the governors but one area which was felt could be improved was that of the expense and colours of the previous uniform.

“Additionally, it was also felt that the school’s logo could reflect a more child-centred and nurturing approach which the school has gained notoriety for.

“Again parents, pupils and staff were consulted culminating in the design of our new school logo. We believe that it tells the story of the importance of ‘learning through nurturing’ and that the development of positive relationships enables life-long learning opportunities to take place.

“Sunny Ghaie from Waterside Superstores helped us translate our concept to ‘uniform’ reality. We sincerely thank him for his efforts.”
