Once again highest standards have been maintained at High School!

It was a mixture of nervous excitement, anticipation and delight at Ballycastle High School as the year 12 pupils received their GCSE results.

Principal, Mr Ian Williamson expressed his delight at the achievements of all the pupils at Ballycastle High.

Particularly pleasing was the fact that the school improved upon last year’s high percentage figure of pupils gaining 5 GCSE’s at grades A* - C, to give the highest figure in twelve years.

Mr Williamson congratulated all the students on their achievements and stated: “Whether it is in 10 top grades at GCSE which have been achieved, or a smaller number, it is a success story for every individual child. It is a clear indication of the hard work and commitment of the staff, parents and pupils of Ballycastle High School”.

Mr Williamson also took the opportunity to say how encouraged he was by the high percentage of pupils keen to pursue further post-16 study at the school and he wished pupils every success in their future career progression, whether at Ballycastle High or elsewhere. He also took the opportunity to thank other educational partners who work so closely with Ballycastle High School.
