Outstanding exam results for Dalriada

This year’s ‘A’ level pupils at Dalriada have gained an outstanding set of results. 19 members of Upper Sixth Form obtained at least 3 A*/A grades and this included 7 students who secured 4 A*/A grades each. Two students, Rachel Love and Samuel Stewart gained an outstanding 4 A* grades each.

The following 19 students obtained 3 or more A*/A grades

Ross Wakefield, Rachel Love, Samuel Stewart, Laura Cull, Kelly-Ann Sweeney, Hannah Tran, Matthew Wray, Amy Loan, Peter McCully, Sophie Smyth, James Burnside, Laura McGaughey, Emily Morrison, Sarah McQuillan, Graham Cooper, Neil Johnston, Aisling Ledwith, Jessica Currie, Timothy Moore.

The 7 students who obtained 4 A*/A grades were Rachel Love, Samuel Stewart, Laura Cull, Kelly-Ann Sweeney, Hannah Tran, Matthew Wray, Amy Loan.

73% of the Upper Sixth Form obtained at least 3 A*-C grades each. Over 38% of all A level grades obtained at Dalriada were A* or A grades and this is well above the Northern Ireland average of under 32%.

In Lower Sixth, the results were also impressive. A total of 23 Dalriada students obtained at least 3 ‘A’ grades were

The 12 students who obtained 4 ‘A’ grades were

75% of the Lower Sixth Form obtained at least 3 A-C grades. 32% of all grades in Lower Sixth were A grades and almost 60% of all Dalriada grades were either A or B grades, again well above the Northern Ireland average.

Reflecting on these academic achievements, Headmaster Mr. Tom Skelton said, I am delighted with these results and immensely proud of our pupils who thoroughly deserve their success. Our committed staff and supportive parents have also made a huge contribution to this success. In addition, these young pupils have made an outstanding contribution to the cultural and sporting life of the school reflecting the unique ethos which continues to exist in Dalriada. He concluded by wishing the leavers every success in the future.
