SLIDESHOW:Prize time for St. Brigid’s PS leavers

The annual Leavers’ prize giving assembly provided the school community of St Brigid’s Primary in Ballymena with the opportunity to bid farewell to the class of 2015.

Principal Jim Brady congratulated the children on their many achievements, singling out their sporting success in winning the Girls Gaelic Football title, their Ballymena Festival success in winning the P7 Choral Poem, the choir section and the title of overall Festival Choir Championship.

Events were brought to an emotional finale as the children sat back and relived their primary school lives through a photographic journey displayed on the large assembly hall screen.

It has been a busy few weeks for P7 pupils at the school with the celebration assembly coming hot on the heels of their successful school production, Mary Poppins, which was watched by over 700 people at three sell out shows.

Earlier in the week the children and their families celebrated Leavers’ Mass with Fr. Darren and Fr. Aidan from All Saints - another annual event that gave staff and parents the chance to wish the P7s well as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
