Staffing at high school is back to ‘full capacity’

Staffing at Craigavon Senior High School is back to full capacity, the principal has revealed.

Ms Ruth Harkness, had asked Year 11 pupils at the Portadown campus to remain at home on Monday with a smaller group asked to remain at home on Tuesday due to a high level of staff absence.

It is understood no one in the school community has tested positive for COVID-19.

Ms Harkness thanked the public for its concern during ‘these challenging times’ and added: “Please be reassured that where a member of our school community tests positive for COVID19 we will implement procedures in line with the guidance from PHA, Education Authority, and Department for Education. This will include notifying all parents/carers.

All communication will take place through the school’s SIMS parent app.
