Students set their sights high at careers fair

All year groups converged on the sports hall, where the event took place, and pupils had the opportunity to interact on a one-to-one basis with the various professionals - many of whom were past pupils.
There was a huge range of career choices offered by the third level institutions, with informative representatives from the food industry; banks; construction firms; people from business and finance; Bombardier; Translink; NIE; Randox, and Almac. In total, there were 32 exhibitors and stands present on the day.

Students also had a chance to liaise with those involved in youth and community work, and British Telecom, as well as computing companies, Fujitsu, Novosco, and Liberty IT.

This big event was an excellent follow-up to the Year 12 Careers Day, which took place previously. On that occasion, students had the opportunity to listen to talks from people from various disciplines, who spoke about their careers and the opportunities available to students.
