The Royal Navy visit Dunluce School

Recently the Royal Navy Stem Presentation Team visited Dunluce School and treated Year 10 to a wonderful experience.

Pupils were able to design, build and test parts for ships’ engines, work out logistical problems and learn to use Morse Code.

The pupils worked under the supervision of actual sailors and investigated how Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths are linked and used in a real-life situations.

The Science Department is very grateful to Warrant Officer Nigel Kane RN and his team for bringing the pupils this excellent day which supports the science curriculum so effectively.
