Transport the moon into your home with latest technology

As part of international Museum Week, Armagh Observatory and Planetarium has launched its latest technology to bring the moon into your home via an augmented reality app.

The easy to use app allows you to bring the Moon Globe into your home and move around it to explore the whole surface, even hold the moon in your hands.

Budding astronomers can investigate craters up close, discover Apollo landing sites and explore the lunar surface. The app is packed with fascinating facts and astonishing tales from space too.

The app is available to download on both iOS and Android, with an instruction video available through the Armagh Observatory Planetarium Facebook page and YouTube.

In addition, the Science at Home series is continuing to wow young scientists at home with fun, astonishing and safe science experiments to try during lockdown.
