Woodlands experience for Dromore Nursery

DROMORE Nursery School recently paid a visit to Woodland School in Dungannon.

This is the eighth year that Dromore Nursery School has been involved in the pupils in the Woodland School experience and this time 81 children visited the forest in Dungannon’s Peatlands Park to experience the winter elements in a natural environment.

The children learned to explore the outdoors and manage risk in a place of natural beauty. They used all their senses to explore the season and the natural woodlands. This supports their physical development, their imagination and their ability to problem solve in a real situation.

Alongside this the hot sausages cooked in the forest and the exciting bus trip all added to the fun which is at the core of every learning opportunity provided at Dromore Nursery School.

The school would like to say a big thank-you to the willing band of parent helpers who also braved the elements and rediscovered their youth!
