Action Cancer is bringing therapy support to Lurgan
Action Cancer in partnership with Mount Zion House is setting up a new and free complementary therapy service for children and young people (aged 5+) and adults affected by cancer in Lurgan and the surrounding areas.
Any adult or child who has had a cancer diagnosis themselves or has been affected through a close relative’s diagnosis can avail of this free service. This service is supported by BBC Children in Need.
Complementary therapy can help reduce anxiety and stress, improve sleep patterns and aid relaxation. It can also teach coping skills to help deal with what’s happening. Ruth Fleming, Service Development Manager at Action Cancer said, “The complementary therapies used are specially adapted for people affected by cancer.”
