Alzheimer’s meeting

ON Tuesday, June 19, the Alzheimer’s Society will hold a meeting at Portadown Health Centre from 7.30pm–9pm with the Carers Education & Education Programme running.

The speakers on the evening will be Siobhan Edgar from the Citizens Advice Bureau sharing on “What benefits you may be entitled to as a carer” and Kelly McKimm from Fold Telecare providing advice on all the different alarm systems there are for your loved one with dementia to help keep them safe if they are living alone.

There will be a question time and refreshments will be provided. Please do come along if you are looking after someone with dementia you will be made more than welcome.

There will be a folder given to every person on arrival providing information on the different types of dementia and tips on communication etc.
