Call for greater clarity on face masks
The Worker’s Party has called for greater clarity on the use of face masks.
Party spokesman Kieran McCausland said: “As of July 31 those in the North who have been in receipt of a Shielding letter... are now being told they are free to go outside their home provided they follow the guidelines.
“Currently the guidelines are not clear and open to interpretation. This has caused a great deal of confusion meaning those who are particularly vulnerable are left feeling incredibly anxious and worried.
“While we appreciate the very difficult position Minister Swann is in... his Department should ensure as much clarity as possible regarding the use of face masks.”
