Come on! Join us for our Midnight Walk

The walk is a 3.5 mile sponsored walk around the town and will start/finish at Roe Valley Leisure Centre. The walk shall commence at midnight and be a ladies only event.

The registration fee is £6and can be paid by cash, card or cheque. All participants will receive a Limavady Midnight Walk T-Shirt, Medal and a tasty bacon bap on completion of the walk!

Speaking recently at the Hospice Rachel Bruce, Community Fundraiser in the Hospice, said “There has been exceptional interest and support for our first Limavady Midnight Walk 2011. We are delighted with such a response and positive feedback as this is a brand new event for us and one we have been working on for several months.

“Female staff members from the Fundraising and Nursing teams here at the Hospice are already very excited about taking part and so I would like to encourage all ladies to get together with friends, family or work colleagues to enter and come along for a fun night out.

“We must fundraise approximately £6000 every single day of the year in order to continue providing our specialised palliative care to those terminally ill with cancer and other life limiting illnesses as well as support services to their families and loved ones.

“ It is through events such as The Midnight Walk and the continuing support of the community that we can do so. I would like to extend my thanks to our sponsors Heron Bros. Ltd, Hunters and Roe Valley Leisure Centre for their ongoing support with this event.

“I hope as many ladies as possible can join us for a night out on the town with a difference!”

All those who have pre-registered will be informed prior to the event regarding collecting their Midnight Walk entry pack from Roe Valley Leisure Centre.
