Another person dies in Mid Ulster Council area with Covid-19

Another person diagnosed with coronavirus in the Mid Ulster District Council area has sadly passed away, bringing the total number of deaths to 15.

Details are set out in the breakdown of statistics relating to Covid-19 presented by the Department of Health.

The Department recently introduced a new daily dashboard of statistics relating to Covid-19 which give a more detailed breakdown.

The statistics on deaths reported daily on the dashboard refer to individuals reported as having had a positive result for SARS-COV2 within 28 days of the death, whether or not Covid-19 was the cause of death. These focus mainly, but not exclusively, on hospital-based deaths.

A total of 715 people have been tested across Mid Ulster Council area, which has a population of 147,520.

Of those tested in the Mid Ulster Council area, the vast majority - 604 were negative, while 111 people have tested positive.
