Current government guidelines advise anyone with a new, recurrent dry cough or a fever to stay at home for 14 days.

When asked if any staff were displaying coronavirus symptoms a council spokesperson confirmed that several members of staff have come into contact with the virus.

“We have a number of staff at several of our facilities who are now self-isolating as a result of feeling unwell or who have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19,” said a council spokesperson.

“In line with the current advice from the Public Health Agency (PHA) in these circumstances, our workplaces remain open, our other staff remain at work and we continue to employ good hygiene practices.”
