MLA welcomes 5.5m PPE provision for NI health workers

Upper Bann MLA Jonathan Buckley said: “We are so deeply indebted to our frontline health workers who continue to demonstrate courage at this difficult time.”

He said he had been contacted by some health workers voicing concerns over PPE provision. “I am glad that the Health Secretary has addressed this by extending 5.5m items of PPE to NI.

“I am also pleased that the Minister for Infrastructure has now released the DVA test centres for use in the fight against COVID-19.

“Rapidly expanding the testing capacity has been a key priority and this will significantly increase the number of healthcare workers who can access testing in the challenging weeks ahead,” said the DUP MLA.
