Mid Ulster District Council has cancelled a special council meeting due to focus on its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s understood that due to the discussions that took place at a meeting on Monday night behind closed doors, councillors were in agreement that a public meeting was no longer required.

As a result, the request to hold a special meeting tonight (Thursday) was withdrawn.
