Electric blanket amnesty event
Accidental house fires claimed eight lives in the last year across the north and the Southern Trust is reminding people of its free electric blanket amnesty service.
The service is available to anyone living in the Trust area. Electric blankets can fail due to wear and tear or become damaged.
For each blanket surrendered a £15.00 voucher will be given to use towards the cost of a new blanket. Anyone wishing to exchange their blanket for the voucher should contact 028 3834 4973.
The amnesty will take place at Portadown Town Hall on November 3 at 11am.
