Fibromyalgia sufferers invited to meeting

DO you suffer from Fibromyalgia or have friends or family who do?

Then the local YMCA is the place to be next Friday, where the chronic condition will be discussed.

Margaret Peacock from Fibromyalgia Support Northern Ireland will be giving a presentation on the condition at the Lisburn YMCA, Market Street, on Friday August 3, from 12 noon to 2.00pm.

Victoria Robinson, a pharmacist from the Boots Pharmacy in Market Street will also be on hand to discuss any queries. She will also raise awareness of Building the Pharmacy in the Community programme.

Fibromyalgia is an illness which causes pain to various parts of the body and affects 4% of the population of Northern Ireland.

Although the illness largely affects women aged 45 years plus, children and men can also be sufferers.
