Open four days a week, with late night opening on Wednesday, this award-winning salon is the brainchild of local lady Bronagh Dowds Moffat.

No stranger to the borough Bronagh has over eight years experience in the town previously working in Church Street after four and a half years training with Joanne O’Neill in Dunloy.

Priding herself in her Menu of Service which is second to none, Bronagh offers a range of cutting and colouring techniques of extremely high standard and frequently attends advanced training courses and seminars throughout Ireland.

Speaking to the Times, Bronagh explained: “In the salon I use various colours including Wella and Matrix, which gives me great confidence and clients are very satisfied with both the results and condition of their hair - obviously this is a top priority with every customer who walks through the door. All Estilo staff are also salon trained in colouring and styling techniques of a very high standard.

“We offer a very competitive price list as well as catering for all ages from children getting their first haircut to the more mature man/woman getting a trim or re-style.

“For me variety is the spice of life and I enjoy doing a gents trim just as much as I enjoy a complete restyle. Changing someone’s total hairstyle and colour is exciting - whether it be a long sleek style, short crop or fashion colour.

“I also enjoy doing colour correction - when someone has been elsewhere or used a home kit and hasn’t been totally happy with what they have got. It’s always a challenge to fix and rewarding to see the smile on the customer’s face.”

Estilo is also located next door to Beauty Within offering clients a ‘one-stop’ beautifying complex.

Bronagh continued: “The two separate businesses, Estilo and Beauty Within, work very well together with an in-salon communal door - so while getting a colour done customers can pop next door and have a treatment/service at Beauty Within.

“We also pride ourselves in doing bridal hair and put ups which I’ve always had a love for - there’s nothing better then helping someone get ready for a big occasion.

“Working beside Lisa at Beauty Within is a huge benefit when doing bridal and formal hair to. The customer is able to float between the two salons saving them time and stress on their special day.”

Bronagh added: “At the new salon we offer a bigger, brighter and more spacious place both for staff and customers.

“Over my many years in the industry, I have been lucky enough to have built up a great clientele list attracting customers from throughout the province - we even have customers from Cookstown and Strabane. However no matter whether local or not every persons’ custom is valued everyday.

“I never get bored in my work and the new premises have given myself and all the staff a spring in our step. It’s a treat to come to work and we can’t wait to welcome both old and new customers into Estilo.”
