GP and Practice of the Year Awards 2026 launched - vote for your GP or Practice Team
Do you have a GP and/or Practice Team who have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding care to you or a family member?
The Royal College of General Practitioners Northern Ireland (RCGPNI) has launched their annual GP and Practice Team of the Year Awards and is asking patients for nominations.

The GP and GP Practice of the Year Awards are an opportunity to recognise and acknowledge the huge efforts made to provide the best possible care for patients.
These awards are uniquely judged by the RCGPNI’s Patient Network, ensuring that the patient voice is at the centre of the judging process. As patient-nominated and patient-judged, the awards focus on celebrating GPs and practices who deliver outstanding patient-centred care.
Dr Ursula Mason, Chair of RCGP Northern Ireland, said: “If you feel your local family doctor or practice have provided excellent care to you or your family, please take a few short moments to nominate them for either the GP or Practice Team of the Year Award.
"A nomination from patients can be a real boost to the morale of GPs and practices.”
2025 recipient of the GP of the Year award, Dr Louise Beck from Victoria Surgery in Larne said: “I was surprised and honoured to receive last year’s GP of the Year award – recognition that would not have been possible without the people I work alongside every day and testament to the collective effort of the entire team at Victoria Surgery.”
Nominations close on Friday, July 10 at 5pm and nominations can be submitted online to Vote for your GP of the Year or GP Practice of the Year
