Helen takes on Dementia role

Alzheimer’s Society has welcomed Helen Taylor to the team in Causeway. Helen joins as Dementia Support Worker.

Helen is responsible for providing support, information, education and signposting for people with dementia and their carers through one to one visits.

Helen also runs carer support groups in Ballymoney, Coleraine and Ballycastle. Alongside these carer support groups Helen provides carer information evenings where carers have the opportunity to develop their knowledge on dementia. Helen will also deliver awareness talks to the community on dementia.

This work helps Alzheimer’s Society improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia and fight for a better world for people with all types of dementia.
