Hide AdStephen Potter, Praxis Care’S head of operations for Greater Belfast, said lending a hand to another charity to support and advocate for people affected by dementia was a natural collaboration.
“At The Croft, we support 21 people with an early diagnosis of a dementia, allowing them to remain in the community for as long as possible. We are a community and when residents pass away the emotional impact is felt throughout the tenants and staff,” he said.
“We wanted to mark the memories of past residents this year with a meaningful gesture so we have arranged a sponsored walk which will help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
