Old gear to be sent to other Trust hospitals

Health Minister Edwin Poots was asked how his Department plans to dispose of the redundant medical equipment at the old hosptial.

He replied: “The Western Health and Social Care Trust are identifying equipment which can be transferred to the New Acute Hospital.

“Equipment that is not suitable for transfer will be subject of a review to determine whether the equipment could be used elsewhere by the Trust, donated for charitable purposes or safely and appropriately decommissioned.”
