Sweet result for Action Cancer

Action Cancer is delighted to have benefited from donations exceeding £26,000 from Snack 4 Charity during a fundraising partnership whereby bags of sweets and snacks are placed in workplace reception and canteens - including John Mc Elderry Motors and Tractors Ltd, Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre & Fyfes in Ballymoney.

50% of the net profit goes direct to the charity’s breast screening, health promotion, counselling and complementary therapy services.

Owners of Snack 4 Charity husband and wife team James and Alanna Connolly are delighted with the success that has been achieved for such a worthy local cause. Alanna said: “I left the construction industry almost four years ago to establish Snack 4 Charity and we’ve been able to grow the business and hence the support for Action Cancer with hard work and perseverance. We’re particularly proud with developments over this past 12 to 18 months which has resulted in an average monthly donation to Action Cancer of £1,000. It’s satisfying to know that this means we are funding screening each month of another 12 women.”
