Commenting Councillor Twyble said: “It was very beneficial for us to meet with and hear the work being undertaken by the Southern Trust and the Emergency Department in particular. “We were heartened to hear of the recent appointment of four new consultants, and the shift pattern worked out that ensures senior clinicians are on duty at key times in the Emergency department.

“We commend the work of the staff in A&E and the work they do for so many people right across Northern Ireland.”
