The boys’ success in getting to three national finals in the one month is thought to be a first for any Boys’ Brigade Company in the UK.
Meanwhile, the 16th Newtownabbey BB was due to hold its annual display on Friday, March 22 in Newtownabbey Community High School, but due to the adverse weather conditions it had to be cancelled.
The display went ahead on Wednesday, March 27 at the same venue and during the event three boys were presented with the second highest award in The Boys’ Brigade, the President’s Badge, by their fathers. The Company was also proud to see eight boys who’d gained the highest award in The Boys’ Brigade, the Queen’s Badge, receive their badges from their mothers.
