A dash of Nor’n Irish humour

Local publishers Causeway Press have produced another in their best-selling range of humour books.

“The Nor’n Irn Joke Book” comes packed with yarns and stories that could only come from Northern Ireland. The craic is ninety and it’s a laugh a minute as an Ulsterman tries getting a taxi in London, the cats are screekin al night, or the Dactor taking the pliers to the patient.

A Causeway Press spokesperson said: “All our previous humour books proved to be very popular with the Ulster public whether at home or for the ex-pat but one of the outstanding features in the books are the ‘Ulsterisms’. The sayings that we all hear and love so well but an outsider is left baffled and needs an explanation. “The Nor’n Irn Joke Book” provides both.
