A Level result day celebrations at NCIC

A school spokesperson said: “Economists predict that we are on the brink of a recession that has not been experienced in the modern day. It is a worrying time for everyone especially young people who are exploring opportunities and looking at what areas of employment will be secure in the future. We are proud of our students, not just of the results they have achieved, but of the young adults that they have become.

“Exam success is important, but it is not the only focus for education at North Coast Integrated College. It is vital that pupils are prepared for the world of work and benefit from the skills that will allow them to continue their education. Particularly impressive this year are the subjects that achieved 100% A* - C : Sport, Travel, Construction, History and Performing Arts. Our pupils studying ICT have also passed with an outstanding 100% A/A*.

“The staff work tirelessly to allow pupils to reach their full potential. Teachers at North Coast Integrated College really do go the extra mile for their pupils. Excellent careers advice also ensures that pupils have a focus, and know courses that suit them or where there are job opportunities.

“Parents, who very often can feel the brunt of the pressure, can relax and be very proud of all that their children have achieved.

“The positive relationships between all staff, pupils and parents have made an important contribution to our excellent results. The subjects that are available to study at our sixth form reflect the skills and courses that interest pupils, and they allow all pupils with a range of ability and interests to achieve success.”
