‘A Lift’ from Alice

Fleeting glimpses of sun bring a promise of better weather but all that hibernating has left us feeling - and in my case looking - as dull and grey as the weather.

Rain, central heating and colder air wreaks havoc on our skin but what if there was a magic fix to leave us with a glowing complexion, knocking off the years and leaving us looking like the A list?

Well, the answer might just come in the form of a state of the art new facial treatment brought exclusively to Ballymena by Alice Kennedy of Alice’s Beauty Salon.

A Lift is a completely non-surgical, non-evasive, and most importantly painless innovative treatment.

And the results are amazing.

At 32, dare I say it but the first signs of ageing are creeping in - fine lines on the eyes and laughter lines.

Still prone to the occasional acne flair up, it’s just my luck to be suffering a break out when I go along to try out the new A Lift facial.

Fearing the facial may make matters worse, I’m greatly surprised to see a great improvement afterwards which Alice explains is down to a boost to cell regeneration as part of the A Lift therapy.

The A Lift treatment uses revolutionary nano-current technology (electrical currents so small they are measured in millionths of an amp) that is adjusted to synchronize with the unique natural frequency of your body to begin combating ageing, essentially turning back time at a cellular level.

Applying the nano-current at this frequency re-charges your cells by boosting your ATP (adenosine triphosphate) by 500% which triggers your rejuvenation process.

Alice offers two A Lift facials - a one-hour treatment, and a one-and-a-half hour ‘red carpet’ treatment.

Opting for the ‘red carpet’ treatment, Alice gets to work firstly with a gentle facial scrub, sloughing off dead skin cells, before a ‘caviar’ face mask is gently massaged in.

A cooling gel is then applied before Alice begins using the A Lift machine.

Surprisingly, the treatment is painless, and within minutes I’m relaxed, trying not to drift off.

The beauty of A Lift us that it can be used at any age and results will be greater and more noticeable the older someone is, and if their lines are more pronounced.

Some people have even cancelled getting more invasive anti-angeing measures - such as fillers and botox - after having a course of A Lift treatments.

Alice notes that overall, my skin is in great condition and the results will therefore be less apparent.

I would beg to differ - immediately afterwards, my eyes felt more refreshed and lifted. And, it was only afterwards that I realised the smile lines running either side of my mouth weren’t as pronounced.

Expecting to be left red faced after all the work, instead I had a natural healthy glow.

As someone who is pasty and washed out without a bit of blusher and foundation, after the treatment I could almost dare to go out without make-up.

And as for those dreaded spots, unlike facials I’ve had before which immediately led to break outs, my skin is clearer and the spots have healed far quicker than I expected.

Almost one week on and over coffee with a friend, she comments that my skin is glowing - I’m make-up free so for me that says it all!
